21 Jump Street Film Review

Summary - In high school, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) was a dork and Jenko (Channing Tatum) was the popular jock. After graduation, both of them joined the police force and ended up as partners riding bicycles in the city park. Since they are young and look like high school students, they are assigned to an undercover unit to infiltrate a drug ring that is supplying high school student’s synthetic drugs.

Storyline – I have to be honest I actually never expected to like this movie’s storyline but I did, a popular high school student becomes friends with a high school dork and become Cops, I have to say I enjoyed this movie and I would recommend this movie to anyone, the movie is well directed.

Camera Movements- the camera movements in this movie good no shaky cam, the camera distances was also good, I liked the camera angles they chose to film this movie.

Background – the movie sets were very convincing like the streets, high school, the police station, the soundtrack pulled this movie together pretty well, the lighting was good, the affects was good and convincing.

Character Development – Jonah Hill’s character in this movie is good his performance is convincing his chemistry between Channing Tatum is awesome they worked brilliant in this movie, Channing Tatum’s character was greatly introduced to us greatly starts of as a popular student then develops into a badass cop as seen in the movie his chemistry between Jonah Hill is great they made the movie stick.

Acting – Jonah Hill’s acting in this movie is like his other movies but I still like his acting in this movie it is what it needed to be, Channing Tatum’s acting in this is good I never seen him in other movies but in this movie is good I admire his acting, his performance with Jonah Hill is amazingly great.

Editing – the editing in this movie is good, the affects in this movie was convincing, the storyline was great, the lighting was good and best of all the movie is awesome.

Audio – the soundtrack to this movie is awesome, it truly made the movie work, when there was an action scene the soundtrack really added extra feeling to the scene, the tone of the audio was good too, when there was gunfire, when there were explosions this movie has them right.

Visuals – the visuals for this movie is great, the lighting of the film is also good, the visual effects were also great, the tone of movie was in the right setting, the setting of the movie was very well done.

Direction – the direction this movie took was good everything was where it needed to be, the movie was well directed and the movie is well edited and the acting was great.

Personal Opinions - in my personal opinion of this movie is that I wasn’t really expecting to like this movie but I did I would recommend this movie to my friends and family, I went in with a clear mind and gave the movie a chance and I am glad that I have.

Conclusion – the final verdict I give this movie is a 7.9 out of 10, a great watch, a great movie to watch with your best friend.
