Summary – Billy Madison is a non-working, non-educated slacker who lives entirely off his dad. He spends his day drinking beer, reading girly magazines, and hanging out by the pool. When his father realizes that Billy is unfit to run the family business, Billy decides that he must go back to school and earn a real education. He figures it will be no problem going back to high school and learning over again, until he learns that his father bought Billy's passing grades all the way back in elementary school. Thus, Billy must return to elementary school and pass each grade one at a time in a short time, or else he loses his place as heir to the company. In addition, Billy tries to win the hand of Veronica, a sexy school teacher who thinks her students are more mature than Billy.
Storyline – I found this film entertaining, it’s one of Adam Sandler’s best films back in the 90’s, I think anything before Jack & Jill I think his films are great, there is plenty of comedy in the film, there is a good villain, there is a good fun character, the story writing is great, the acting is great, the script is great, the film is original, there is a good romance, and there is a good bro-mance, the story is strong, the entertainment is great, and it’s a film that I can recommend.
Camera Movements – the way this film is filmed is great, the filming locations are great, the quality of the film is great, it feels like a classic, the angles were great, the distances was great, the movements are great.
Background – the movie sets are great, it felt open, nothing felt like a movie set, it was great to see the filming locations.
Character Development – the characters in this film is great, the character build up is great, I cared for the characters, when I saw Erick I was like that is an evil man, and that makes a good villain is when you know who the bad guy is, when you see Billy you want him to succeed, he is the hero that you like, the character build ups are great.
Acting – Adam Sandler’s acting in this film is great, he has humor, this film is before his acting went down south, and these are the films that I will still watch, because of his good acting, Bradly Whitford he played as the villain that you love to hate, his acting is good, his character is good, this motivations are clear, his performance stands out, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras I found her character hot in this film, her acting is great, her look is great, her writing is great, her performance is great.
Editing – the film’s editing is great, the plot made sense, the scenes tied in nicely, the characters were interesting, the story writing was well written, the plot made sense, the motivations are clear.
Audio – the soundtrack to the film is good, the audio was good, the sound was good, the soundtrack didn’t really add much to the scenes, but the story is still good without it.
Visuals – the visuals in this film is good, the lighting was great, the tone was great, it was humorous, the setting is good, the filming locations was open.
Direction – this film is directed by Tamra Davis her other films that she has directed is (Half Baked, Crossroads, CB4) I found her directing pretty good, the direction of the film is one of the best parts.
Personal Opinions – in my personal opinion this is one of Adam Sandler’s good performances, back when people was grateful to watch a new film that he was in, it’s a film that I can recommend, and I do recommend buying it.
Conclusion – for the final verdict I give the film a 7.8 out of 10, a good comedy.
