American Sniper Film Review

Summary - Chris Kyle was nothing more than a Texan man who dreamed of becoming a cowboy, but in his thirties he found out that maybe his life needed something different, something where he could express his real talent, something that could help America in its fight against terrorism. So he joined the SEALs in order to become a sniper. After marrying, Kyle and the other members of the team are called for their first tour of Iraq. Kyle's struggle isn't with his missions, but about his relationship with the reality of the war and, once returned at home, how he manages to handle it with his urban life, his wife and kids.

Storyline – I like movies that are based of true stories and this movie is one of them, I found the story entertaining I felt the emotions that Chris Kyle and the people around him the director truly made an emotion impact on the audience, that is why I like this movie it gets the message across to us about Chris Kyle’s life before he died in 2013, the Action scenes are well made, the emotions between Chris Kyle and his family and the ending I won’t spoil the ending for you but I have to say the ending was really emotional for me in my experience I understood the concept that the director tried to tell us that war can change people in so many different ways, people look at this movie two different ways, the movie was made for money and the movie had no relevance of what really happened to Chris Kyle, I say people have different point of view of this film I’m one of the people who liked this movie, this movie I found entertaining, the drama in this film is good.

Camera Movements – the camera movements, the angles was good, the movie was well filmed, and the movie was well directed.

Background – the movie sets were great I was convinced of the setup, the soundtrack scored greatly, the lighting was great, the visual effects was great, the sound effects and explosions were convincing.

Character Development – the chemistry of Bradly Cooper & Sienna Miller was great they really worked well together in this film, Bradly Cooper’s performance with the other actors was great also they really made the movie work with their great acting.

Acting – Bradly Cooper’s performance in this movie is great I think this movie is one of his best performances alongside with the hangover movies but this movie made his carrier rise when he portrayed Chris Kyle I respect Bradly Cooper as an actor and a dam good one I must add, Sienna Miller her character was Chris’s wife and she did a fantastic acting in this film she was really convincing, Kyle Gallner his performance was good he had a big part in the film working with Chris Kyle in the war and as a lookout.

Editing – this movie I found it was well edited, the story was entertaining, and the lighting was good, the visual effects were great the explosions were realistic.

Audio –the soundtrack to this movie is great, they have the soundtrack in the right spots in the movie, like when there was dramatic scene they had the right background tone to add weight to the scene, and when there was a sad scene they had the right background tone for that scene as well, I found this movie a real emotional movie.

Visuals – the visuals in this film is great, the lighting is great, the visual effects in this film is great, the tone of the movie is great, the setting of the movie is great, and the background and tone of the lighting was great.

Direction – the direction this movie took was great I was entertained from the start to finish and I would recommend watching this movie if you are into war dramas or a Bradly Cooper fan like myself.

Personal Opinions – in my personal opinion the movie is great, it is a bit pacing at times but mostly great I wish some people would look past the facts that yes its probably not relevant of how it actually happened but you have to look beyond all that the movie showed us a great war drama that people should enjoy and not be so critical at times.

Conclusion – for the final verdict I give this movie a 9 out of 10, great movie to watch with family and friends.
