Storyline – in my opinion I found the movie to be entertaining for people like me who want a good laugh and good time, that is what this movie is a good time, the story’s plot is what it needed to be, it knows what it wanted to be and that is what it was, fun and entertaining, this movie is different from other comedy’s back in 2003 this was a movie of an man with bad temper that gets hold up for a while until the day he meets Buddy Rydell, the man who solves all your anger problem by throwing your dinner plates against the wall for no reason what so ever.
Camera Movements – now let’s talk about how this movie is filmed, I found that camera was filming the movie pretty good, I found that the camera should of probably been a few steps back to show us what’s happening in the background, but other than that the angles are great and the movement is awesome.
Background – the movie sets is located in New York city and Brooklyn, and the movie sets are great, Dave’s apartment was well set up, Dave’s work was great, and the rest of the movie sets are great,
Character Development – the chemistry between Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler seemed to work for this movie, I think they chose carefully when it came to casting the film but Jack & Adam really pulled it off in this movie, I would like to see another movie with them both in it, but sadly it hasn’t come to date.
Acting – Adam Sandler’s performance in this film is great this movie is one of his good ones you get good ones & Bad ones (Jack & Jill) and this is one of my personal favorites, Jack Nicholson’s acting in this movie is fantastic I watch some of Jacks movies and he seems to be a great actor, I found his character really funny in this movie I laughed a lot when he was on camera, Marisa Tomei’s performance in this film is great I found her character great, she is pretty, she is funny, fun, and likable.
Editing – this movie is well edited and I found the story plot made sense, I found that the scenes went together pretty well, the movie went smoothly.
Audio – the audio for this movie is great, the soundtrack pulled the movie together, I was able to hear the actors greatly, the sound wasn’t too loud or to quite.
Visuals – the lighting was great, the visuals was great, the tone was great, and the setting was great, and the filming locations were great, you saw some great locations throughout the film, in the city of new York.
Direction – this movie is directed by Peter Segal you probably know of his other movies (50 First Dates, Get Smart, The Longest Yard) and his directing style I like, he has great ways of directing comedy’s and this movie is one of those movies.
Personal Opinions – in my personal opinion of the movie is that it is a good fun movie to watch, and I would suggest going out and watching this movie with your friends and family for a good time and good comedy.
