Summary – In Gotham City, the Riddler has secret information on the top secret Task Force X that he threatens to make public, but before Amanda Waller can have him killed, he is captured by Batman. Now with Riddler imprisoned in Arkham Asylum, Amanda Waller reassembles the Suicide Squad of captured supervillains with the mission to infiltrate the forensic mental hospital to retrieve Riddler's information. Led by Deadshot, this black ops team makes their way into the facility, only to face complications from within and without the team with secret agendas and double crosses all around. Meanwhile, Batman has his own concerns with an urgent search for The Joker's deadly bomb that threatens Gotham City. Eventually, all these players converge on Arkham Asylum for a showdown that few are going to escape alive.
Storyline – when I watched this film, I immediately liked the film, this has to be the best batman animated film that I have watched, and the mask of the phantasm, there is a lot of great writing, the story made sense, and it’s one of those movies that you want the bad guys to win, in this movie I wanted the suicide squad to win, for a change I wanted Batman to loose, but I did enjoy watching this film, it’s one of those films you can watch it multiple more times cause you want to re-experience the story.
Camera Movements – the animation in this film is great, there wasn’t any dual moments, the character models worked pretty good, the character designs are good, and I liked Deadshot’s costume, it does change from movie to movie, but I liked it in this film.
Background – this DC universe was beautiful this movie takes place after the top video game (Batman Arkham Asylum) this is in that same universe, for evidence take a look at Batman’s costume in this film when you see him, he is wearing the same one in the game.
Character Development – we all went into this film knowing all the main casts backgrounds, and motivations, they didn’t make a whole movie about building up there characters, from what I learnt watching this film from the way they speak they already have a reputation, and Amanda Wilder already knows it.
Acting –the voice acting in this film is great, Kevin Conroy I have to say if I had to choose witch batman is my most favorite I would chose this voice actor he has been my favorite voice actor for a long time, I liked him voicing the video games of batman and the animated films and TV shows, in my opinion Kevin Conroy is batman, Troy Baker he voices the joker, I remember him voicing the joker in (Batman Arkham Origins) and I have to say he does a good job but I like Mark Hamill a bit more for the voice, but his energy and his effort of trying I do have to put I the account of the voice he portrays is pretty good for this role, Neal McDonough I think he did a good voice for Deadshot, he was intimidating, and had a serious tone to him, and that is why he did such a good job on voice acting the character.
Editing – this film is well edited, the soundtrack was great, the story was entertaining, and the voice acting is great, the one thing that I found with this film is, it’s probably one of the best DC universe comic book film ever made.
Audio – the soundtrack really made this film work, the scenes that they were in was great, they added great emotion to the scenes, the soundtrack is kickass for a movie like this.
Visuals – the visuals for this film is great, the lighting is great, the visual effects are great, the tone of the movie is great for the Batman universe, the setting of the movie is perfect.
Direction – the director of this film is Jay Oliver & Ethan Spaulding you may know of their other movies (Batman Bad Blood, Batman VS Robin, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1&2) and the way this film is directed is great, this direction for a movie like this is what it needed to be.
Personal Opinions – in my personal opinion this has to be my most favorite animated Batman film, this is a movie that is a good example for the DC universe to take to make a good Film.
Conclusion – for the final verdict I give the movie a 10 out of 10, a great animated film, filled with great story.
